Welcome to the Jacobstowe Midsummer Concert!
Come join us at St James Church, Jacobstowe for a magical evening of traditional folk music and vocal harmony from talented musicians. Our headline act is Hannah Cumming and Jon Dyer, experienced folk musicians and performers based in the South West. They have been established in the folk scene from a young age, performing together in various bands over the years and creating an intuitive and natural playing style. Each are talented multi instrumentalists who’s love for traditional folk music and song has inspired the creation of unique and uplifting arrangements. Hannah’s strong and emotive voice and Jon’s agile accompaniment creates a captivating and animated performance.
Hannah and Jon perform concerts across the UK and have both been a part of the UK and Canada tour of Fisherman’s Friends The Musical. They both work with Wren Music, working in the community, running local ensembles and workshops. They also have a passion for playing for dance and are a part of the ceilidh trio Crowdy-Kit.
Full of life and enthusiasm, Hannah’s fiddle and voice, and Jon’s double bass and guitar are a duo not to be missed.
Our support act is Sister Moon, a local four-part female vocal harmony group who cover classic rock and pop acts such as Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
